One of my favorite cafés in my hometown Stockholm is Gamla Orangeriet located north of the city center.
It’s placed right in the Bergianska Gardens and is actually in a conservatory building where oranges grow all year round which gives a really beautiful and quite unique interior. For those who like light and rustic places, this is the café for you!
I’m probably visiting this Gamla Orangeriet more often than I should since I sometimes work extra at Stockholm University which is located nearby, but I always get so inspired when I’m there! I have actually never experienced it crowded and there are times when I have had the whole place to myself a couple of times so it’s a great place to sit down for a long time during the weekdays. I imagine that there are more people there during the weekends since they serve both lunches and have a lot of Swedish fika. They make the food and pastries depending on the season so there is always something new to try out!
