Travel Diary: Gotland Day 3 & 4

Travel Diary: Gotland Day 3 & 4

DAY 3 Don’t let the photos below fool you, day 3 on Gotland was a rainy day. Just as day 2, it started in Stånga at the “Gotland Olympics” Stångaspelen, but the difference this time was that I was competing as well. I competed with my dad and we finished third in our group which meant that we just missed the semi-final, but I honestly don’t think I’ve been happier about that since it meant that we could get out…

Tant Brun – Sigtuna, Sweden

Tant Brun – Sigtuna, Sweden

During my day trip to Sigtuna, I had a “fika” at Tant Brun. This café is on top of all the “must see things in Sigtuna”-lists I have seen since it’s not only one of the oldest buildings in Sigtuna, it’s also one of the oldest cafés in all of Sweden! Either you can sit inside (which no one did when I was there since it was a sunny summers day, haha) or outside in the cozy garden. I just…

Travel Diary: Gotland Day 1 & 2

Travel Diary: Gotland Day 1 & 2

I’m currently on my favorite summer destination in the whole wide world – Gotland. It’s not summer until I get to walk the cobbled streets in Visby and drive by all the flowers by the side of the road and this year I’m going to be here at least twice. I’m currently on my first trip to Gotland this summer and I’m here with my family, my boyfriend and of course our dog Stina. I have absolutely no idea how…

Travel Diary: Gränna & Trehörna Day 1

Travel Diary: Gränna & Trehörna Day 1

This weekend, I went on a trip to Gränna for quite a special reason. I’ve been to “the candy cane capital” Gränna many times before, but this time I went there because our dog Stina was going to participate in the Swedish Staffordshire Bullterrier Clubs Championship Show! It’s an annual dog show with only staffies and we thought it would be fun for Stina to meet other staffies and also try out and see if this sort of competition was…

Travel Diary: Sigtuna

Travel Diary: Sigtuna

Another day trip I’ve taken this summer was to the city Sigtuna north of Stockholm. I went there with my cousin Mimmi and my dog Stina and we had a day filled with all the things I like – cute houses, old ruins, and great “fika”. Sigtuna is actually one of the first towns ever in Sweden and it’s accessible with the SL Access card. You take the train from Stockholm Central Station to Märsta and from there you take…

Travel Diary: Fjäderholmarna

Travel Diary: Fjäderholmarna

During the midsummer weekend I visited Fjäderholmarna. The original plan was actually to celebrate midsummer at Fjäderholmarna with a couple of friends, but that plan failed last minute. Instead, I went to the island the day after midsummer together with my parents, my boyfriend – and of course, our puppy Stina. Fjäderholmarna is the island in Stockholm’s archipelago which is closest to the city of Stockholm, and with a boat ride that cost 155 SEK per person, you can get…

Stina 6 Months Old

Stina 6 Months Old

Time flies and our little girl is already 6 months old. That means I’ve been a dog owner for about four months and that has, of course, changed my life but honestly not as much as I thought it would. Everything takes a little bit more time and needs more planning when you have a dog, but we haven’t had to sacrifice anything and can still have the same lifestyle as we had before we got Stina. Stina is a…

Travel Diary: Landsort

Travel Diary: Landsort

My summer vacation has started off perfectly. It started with a day trip to Vaxholm, followed by a trip to Landsort, followed by Fjäderholmarna and tomorrow I’ll go to Sigtuna. I wanted to do more day trips and explore more places in and around Stockholm – and that is exactly what I’ve done. You do not have to travel far to find some new and interesting places. One week ago, my friend Annie (who has taken all the photos of…

Travel Diary: Vaxholm

Travel Diary: Vaxholm

Exactly one week ago, I took a day trip to Vaxholm together with my boyfriend and our puppy Stina. Vaxholm is an island in the archipelago which is about an hour away from Stockholm. We got there by bus from the subway station Danderyds sjukhus but it’s possible to travel there by boat as well. We didn’t take the boat since Stina hadn’t been on one before and we didn’t want her first time to be so long if she…

How to Photograph and Back Up Your Photographs

How to Photograph and Back Up Your Photographs

This post contains affiliate links My photos means everything to me. They are memories of things I’ve done, places I’ve seen and people I’ve met. Therefore, it’s extremely important for me that all my photos are backed up. I’ve heard that one of the most common things people answer when they are asked the question “If you only could save one material thing if your house catches fire, what would that be?” is their photo albums, and that says a…
